I'm Hopal. I was diagnosed with endo when I was 18. I did a Laparoscopy and was diagnosed with 3rd stage endo. I had no idea what I was facing as this is not a well known condition in my country. I changed gynos' 5 times before I had any form of help. I did surgery in 1998 to remove fibroids, cysts and burning of the endo (or something like that). I'm 30 yrs and I'm told that I am in the 4th stage and need surgery badly as its now cancerous. I'm depressed. I cannot afford to do the surgery and my family r tryin to see what they can do. I am tired of the pains, the meds, and the pitiful looks my friends and family give me. I know they mean well and the love me but THEY JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND.

St. Catherine, Jamaica W.I. - Saturday, November 02, 2002 at 20:03:07 (EST) I'm 23 years old. Diagnosisd three years ago with 3rd stage of Endo, my road has been nothing but up hill! I'm currently in 4th stage with three hemorrhagic cysts and chronic lower back and abdomen pain. I have undergone 2 laproscopies, 1 colonoscopy and two years of lupron, yeast infections are constant and birth control pills seem not to work. The chronic pain has become so bad I'm only able to work part time and unable to attend college at this point in time. I'm lost in where and what to do next. A hysterectomy seems to be the only answer. Yet, I'm not sure if it's the right one. I do have hope and look to God for comfort.

Canada - Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 17:48:10 (EDT) i was diagnosed with endo when i was about 15 and i am 18 now. i have done many treatment options and i am now on Necon w/out the sugar pills, so i don't have a period. i have gained weight due to my treatment and there are days when i am very irritated for no reason, i have constant yeast infections and sexual problems. i am never in the mood and i have pain during intercourse. My fiance is very understanding but i know he has no idea what i am going through. we would also like to have kids but i was told that since i was diagnosed so young and it was pretty bad that i may never have that opportunity. if there is any where else out there that have these problems please write.

Libery, MO USA - Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at 14:42:54 (EDT) Hi, I am 27 with 3 kids. After reading the guestbook my pain seems so minute. After having my 3rd son I started experiencing periods with heavy bleeding and severe cramps. I suspect fibroids which is common in the women in my family. To all of you trying to conceive good luck & god bless. My pain just dosen't seem important anymore. Thank you.

Bklyn, NY USA - Friday, October 18, 2002 at 16:21:56 (EDT) I was diagnoised with endo about 2 weeks ago, but looking back on it I've probably had it for a long time. I am 32 years old and in major pain most of the time, I was lucky enough to have a daughter who is now 12. But was never able to concieve again, my husband always thought it was him..now we know different. I've had my 1st Lap, but the pain has come back again with a vengance, does it ever feel like to anyone that they have an 18-wheeler parked on your lower stomache.??? I am in stage 2, and I also have alot of pain in my upper thighs..This site has been so helpful..Thank You...And the best of luck to all of us that have this very confusing and frustrating disease...

Hutchinson, KS USA - Sunday, October 06, 2002 at 22:26:28 (EDT) My husband & I are going to try the IVF. I have two daughters from a previouse marriage and my husband has none. So I agreed to have one with him and since I had my tubes clamped in 1991, this is the only way I found we could try for a child and it be both our genes. The web-sight was very helpful to questions I had. Thank you, Gina :)

Pensacola, FL USA - Tuesday, October 01, 2002 at 17:15:25 (EDT) Thank you for keeping this website available. I have PCOS. Although I've been on Spironolactone for nearly 4 years, I am greatful to find out about lowering Insulin drugs. Fighting the weight and facial hair has been an uphill battle for years. Working as an RN and EMT, I want to be as fit and healthy as possible. Thank you for your continued effort in working with women!

Vero Beach, FL - Saturday, September 28, 2002 at 10:44:57 (EDT) I've finished two IVF cycles, and have advice for all looking to go through it. a) Make sure you are aware of the drugs you will be given, and if you are susceptible to side effects. If you have ANY problems with hormones, see your doctor and address it before you start. b) When choosing a clinic, be careful. The clinic I used was very unhelpful, hard to contact and had no interest in me once the payment was made. c) If you cycle fails, remember it's not your fault. You are still a wonderful person, and it is worth continuing life.
